A late Christmas blog

It's late but I thought I would post some pictures from Christmas...It has been busy around here lately and there just doesn't seem like there is time for it all. Anyway, Christmas was great...it would have been a little better if the boys had not gotten sick. But it seems like this is the time of year for sickness too. We got to go to the zoo lights with our friends a couple days before Christmas. Christmas Eve, we spent the evening with Terry's family. Christmas day we opened presents at our friends and neighbor's house---The Missirlians. We made Swedish pancakes and just had a great time playing and talking! Enjoy the pictures!

Gingerbread House

We received a Gingerbread House Kit for Christmas from some friends and the boys couldn't wait to make it. So this weekend we had some time to work together to make the house. I think Daddy may have enjoyed it more than the boys but we all had a great time. Alex wanted to eat more than he wanted to decorate but we managed to get everything on the house that we could! Ty was a lot of help and really enjoyed the time together! Christmas just can't come fast enough for us...What a wonderful time of year. And as Ty told me on the way home from school today..."Christmas is not just about presents...it is about JESUS!!!!"

The day after Thanksgiving, we started decorating for Christmas. It actually took us a couple of days to finish, but the boys had fun doing it! We love to put on the Christmas music and enjoy this time as a family! This year the kids really helped alot...

This is a little late but I wanted to post pictures of Ty's birthday weekend. His birthday was on a Saturday so everyone was home and ready to celebrate. We hid his presents all over the house, so he had to find them before he could open them. After presents, we went to Bounce for some jumping fun. Terry had a meeting that night so he when he left for the meeting, the boys and I went back to Bounce. They had a lot of fun. Ty's party was on Sunday afternoon. The theme was transformers...what a fun night. One funny thing...I had just lit the candles on Ty's cake and started to sing when Alex decided to blow out the candles before Ty could! It made me laugh. Alex always has to be involved in what's going on! I am still amazed that I have a 5 year old!!!! Anyway, I think Ty had a great birthday!
